As tiny tots we set foot here,
One morning when the sun shone bright.
Little did we know or think at least,
That our lives here would be like the sunlit east !
The teachers scolded when we talked,
Indifferent about the lessons ongoing....
We felt bad then but now we feel
Had they not then where would we have been?
History for us was the biggest mystery
And geography fetched us circles red;
Chemical equations haunted us
While the EVE teacher rarely saw our face.
Physics was an ocean in the dark
When exams brought with them bagfuls of misery.
We thought we'd face them like a valiant knight,
But the syllabus forced us to use chits in our fight.
What exams couldn't, results did for us
And we thought we'd study the next day...
That 'next day' our lives havn't yet seen
As fun and frolic soon overtook the guilt!
The shrinking grades or the redder marks did nothing towards our aim
As the next day we bunked Maths again to play a volleyball game.
Suspension followed along with glaring parents
But all this couldn't prevent us from bunking again !
Amidst all this ruckus we learnt a few lessons of life...
We formed bonds of unbreakable camaraderie
And knew love among friends that would always suffice.
We had our own share of brawling
Which sometimes took a turn dangerous.
But these fights lead to stronger bonds
And taught how to compromise for peace.
Follies committed all kept aside,
We did do the school proud alright.
Competitions we have won and emerged victorious,
Things we'll be remembered for in the upcoming years.
But this saga now seems a mile too short
When we emerge from this institution great...
We bow before our teachers and give parting hugs to our friends.
We'll always be in each-others heart although we are miles away!
